PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a FAA Assembly & Test Technician to support regulated production at our client’s facility in Rocky Mount, NC. This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a fast-paced aerospace environment with opportunities for growth and performance-based bonuses.
About the Role
As a FAA Assembly & Test Technician, you’ll perform standard testing and assembly processes on sophisticated electromechanical and electro-hydraulic control systems used in aircraft and helicopter engines. You’ll work with precision tools, follow detailed instructions, and ensure compliance with FAA standards. This role requires mechanical aptitude, computer literacy, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, inspect, and test hydro-mechanical fuel controls using precision tools and fixtures
- Perform in-process inspections, calibrations, and quality checks
- Follow electronic work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Participate in daily Tier meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and Visual Management standards
- Work overtime and weekends as required
What We’re Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires an associate's degree and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Mechanical and technical experience
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate MS Office
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and interpret blueprints
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience in assembly/test manufacturing
- Associate degree or formal technical training
- North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold)
- Six Sigma training or certification
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in a team-based environment
- Familiarity with 5S and continuous improvement practices

- Shift: 2nd Shift
- Subco Bonus Program:
- $1,000 at 14 days with perfect attendance
- $1,000 at 60 days
- $1,000 at 90 days
(Must receive 14-day bonus to qualify for 60- and 90-day bonuses)

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
