PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented, quality-driven Quality Assurance Supplier Specialist to ensure supplier compliance in the production of aerospace components. In this critical role, you’ll represent the company at supplier sites, leading audits, inspections, and process reviews to ensure that parts, materials, and processes meet rigorous industry and government standards.

What You’ll Do
As a Quality Assurance Supplier Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Planning, organizing, and conducting supplier audits, inspections, and surveys

Monitoring supplier quality processes for compliance with contracts, purchase orders, and regulatory standards

Reviewing and maintaining procurement quality procedures (aligned with ISO 9001/AS9100)

Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T

Supporting and resolving supplier non-conformance and quality issues

Coaching internal teams and external suppliers on Quality System requirements and root cause analysis

Collaborating with engineering and procurement teams to drive continuous improvement in supplier performance

Traveling to supplier sites for audits (approx. 25% travel, domestic or international as required)
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Management in aerospace, automotive, or pharmaceutical industries

Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)

Proven experience with supplier engagement, audit processes, and root cause/corrective action methods

In-depth understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to travel as needed (25%) and hold an active U.S. passport
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field

Hands-on experience with quality tools such as FMEA, control plans, and SPC
-
Experience working across time zones and multicultural supplier networks
