Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial sandblasting and surface preparation, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. This position requires working in enclosed areas with high-pressure equipment and abrasive materials to meet specific finishing standards on metal parts.
Responsibilities:
Manually abrade surfaces of metal or hard composition parts using sandblasting equipment.
Operate a high-pressure nozzle (up to 60 lbs. of force) to ensure a uniform finish that meets planning specifications.
Shovel or pour sand into the machine and into recycling areas after use to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Load and secure parts on racks inside enclosed blasting rooms.
Adjust valves to regulate pressure and mixture composition during the blasting process.
Visually inspect parts to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Follow all safety procedures and wear protective gear including insulated headgear.
Support team members and assist with general department tasks as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment using sandblasting materials.
Ability to read and follow company and customer specifications.
Comfortable working in enclosed areas while wearing protective headgear.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to lift, move, and work with heavy machinery and parts.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
Must follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.

Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
