Your Role at a Glance
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Systems Engineer to join a forward-thinking Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering team supporting a major aerospace program. In this high-impact role, you'll drive aircraft design excellence by applying advanced reliability modeling, simulation, and analytical methods to optimize lifecycle performance, ensure safety compliance, and support certification milestones.
What You’ll Be Doing

Perform statistical and probabilistic analyses using simulation and data modeling tools.

Provide technical support to multi-functional design teams across the product lifecycle.

Guide the validation of technical performance measures like schedule reliability and operational availability.

Evaluate system designs for safety and maintainability through:

Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and failure mode assessments.

Verification of system architecture against reliability standards.

Use of virtual and augmented reality tools for digital maintainability analysis.

Engage with system suppliers, program leaders, and airline customers to influence design decisions and certification strategies.

Support R&M testing, reporting, and technical documentation for regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an ABET-accredited program.

8+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ in aviation reliability engineering.

Proven experience in commercial aircraft system design or analysis (e.g., Propulsion, Electrical, Avionics, Hydraulics, etc.).

Hands-on proficiency with FTA tools like CAFTA, ReliaSoft, or FaultTree+.

Experience integrating FTA into certification for commercial aircraft.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications

Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.

Pay Details: $66.33 per hour
